When the part you need is not on the shelf

Not all components are easy to find. Some have been discontinued. Others are made to order. And sometimes the only thing available is a worn sample or an old technical drawing.

Step 1: We start with what you have

A part number, a technical drawing, or even the component itself. Every project starts with a simple question: what information is available?

If there is a part number, we can immediately check whether that component has been produced or supplied before. In many cases, this allows the part to be recreated quickly.
If there is no part number, a technical drawing or a physical sample is often enough to start the process. Our team analyzes the available information and determines whether the part can be reproduced or manufactured.

Step 2: Verification and feasibility

We check what already exists. Before moving forward, we analyze whether that component has been produced in the past. Many parts have already been developed and can be reproduced without starting from scratch.

If the part is new, we evaluate the documentation or available sample to determine the most suitable manufacturing method.

This step ensures that every project starts with a clear technical foundation.

Step 3: Transparent quote

Clear costs before production begins. After confirming feasibility, we prepare a detailed quote.

The quote reflects: part complexity, required quantity, manufacturing process.

At this stage, we also communicate production and delivery estimates.

Step 4: Order and production

From confirmation to manufacturing. After the quote is approved, the order goes into production.

For certain smaller components, there may be minimum order quantities, depending on the manufacturing process.

Delivery time varies depending on part complexity and requested quantity. Before production begins, we issue the proforma invoice and confirm delivery details.

A significant share of the parts we supply are related to MTU engines. Rolfin provides both original MTU components and equivalent OEM parts, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and consistent performance.

Today, approximately 80% of the components we handle are related to the MTU platform, giving us extensive experience with these systems.
